ok then guys whilst out yesterday in my car she decided to cut out then about 2 mins later after struggling to get to the side of the road pushing her on my own i fired her up straight away which was odd and drove another 30 miles home.
I then left it overnight woke up this morning and around lunchitime i went and fired her up she then cut out on the driveway and i couldnt fire her up again.

Ok ive got no spark basicly , ive checked the fuel pump and its working fine ive checked some relays however not all ive checked all silly stuff like fuses , ive had the dizzy cap off and rotor arm which were all new under a year ago and are still mint , checked plugs and leads and all seems no different to normal also have checked coil and still no joy im struggling as to wat it could be i have a spare ecu coming tuesday which im going to check just wondered if anyone else may have any clues off here ?? i need the car back on the road asap so i can get to work

anyones help is appreciated im running out of ideas many thanks ian.

Is it a face lift M20 ?

If it is then your right it should be near the front of the engine by a toothed wheel i think ?

I think the pre-face lift has two sensors by the gear box bell housing but i'm not to sure on M20's ?

Could it be the ignition coil breaking down?
