Hi Guys, was just curious to know if BMW main dealers all charge the same price for parts or if they make the prices up as they see fit?.
Cheers

I'm pretty sure there all the same, although don't quote me on that.
Although some peeps get a 10% discount, like myself

Prices do seem to vary - quite a bit i've found!!!
Not even just parts, but servicing and labour prices too!!!!!
Read somewhere the other day about bmw labour rates - way higher in london than elsewhere in the uk - i think sw was cheapest!!
It can be worth ringing around!

my dealer charges Ԛ£110 per hour + parts + VAT!!!!
my friend works for HR Owen Holland Park, and they chrage Ԛ£220 per hour + parts + VAT!!!
i've often found that some places have cheaper parts than my place and some have more expensive parts. they also vary from week to week!! this week, E30 parts at my place are through the roof!!! but next week, they reckon they'll be down again?!
i think BMW give you a permissable range of how much you can sell the parts for

Couple of years back i asked cooper croydon about labour rates!!! At the time it was Ԛ£90 per hour (+vat) to work on an 8 series, but only Ԛ£60 per hour (+vat) for the same guys to work on a mini!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have always tried to stay clear of dealers where possible, but a few years ago I had an E46 320s Sport, I knew I was in trouble when my first oil service was due, I took it in and was told it would be Ԛ£140......I nearly died.....lol

Definitely a difference, you guys down in the South East, and especially in London are really hit with the prices.
I always seem to get a WTF response when I post prices I pay on here!
I was paying Ԛ£189.99 for Insp I, Ԛ£219.99 for Insp II, and Ԛ£279.99 for Insp II and cambelt change at my local dealers for my old Sport.
