its a long shot but similar happened to my 325i cab. but only when i went round a left hand bend. it turned out that theres a wire straight from the battery to i guess the fuel pump and this had come loose and was not making a good contact. it might be worth checking. Also check if there are any air leaks on the intake as this can cause spluttering. hope this helps m8.

Thanks mate, because if i put my foot liek 2 or 3 cm down its fine as soon as i put the whole thing or even half of the accelerator down it will jerk pull back then go back to normal

I'd check these areas first:
Air flow meter and connections
Inlet pipe for tears and wear, gaps, loose bits
ignition system - you need a good spark at full power
Vacuum pipes and fuel pressure regulator

sounds like a broken/worn spring/s in the clutch plate, no cure for it except a new clutch Ԛ£Ã”šÃ‚£Ãƒ”šÃ‚£Ãƒ”šÃ‚£
It can be caused by launching the car away from the lights, an old worn clutch or binding rear brakes.

I get exactly this in my 320, been told to check the AFM and all air intake pipes..
After that i will check fuel pump / spark plugs.
I cant see it being anything to do with clutch because the cars not being driven its in nutural.
There is also a put put put noise coming from the exaust every now and then, adding to the non smooth soundingness of my engine : <
I have the mechanic friend of mine coming round to take a look for me on tuesday evening so ill let you know how it progresses as we seem to have a similar problem

Just had my mechaical mate out,
We had a look at the plugs, drastic over fueling, splits in the pipe after the AFM also, we wobbled that about a fair about and she cut out..
The car will apparently be unsure like this when you put your foot down because its already starting from an overfueling point, when you put ur foot down more air comes into it and it sorts its self out whilst its creating vaccum in the air intake.
Recommendations for myself from him, which I pass to you are
New rotor arm and dizzy cap, just because mine is so old.
New air inlet piping after the AFM which im told can be aquired from any bmw dealership.
Wire brush the spark plugs and check, set and correct the gap sizes.
Maybe get yourself a decent induction kit if you dont have one.
Clean the ICV with some brake cleaner.
New fuel filter
then use injector cleaner in the fuel afterwards.
Busy weekend for me ahead I think!
