Tourer went for MOT yesterday and apart from advisory on 2 tyres, sailed thru with all lights flashing!

Have just been reading thru the emissions sheet and it reads as follows:-

Fast Idle 2500-3000rpm

CO Limit. 0.20% vol Actual. 0.12%
HC Limit. 200ppm Actual. 39ppm

Natural idle @ 811rpm

CO Limit. 0.30% vol Actual. 0.00% vol

Not bad for an engine that's done 107k + :D

Full service history is worth something after all.
I'm not completely perfect.......there are some bits missing or broken.
But the weather here helps!!!

iirc, they test the CO (carbon monoxide) and HC (hydrocarbons) at the standard idle first, if it fails they can then choose to test at a fast idle (2500rpm held steady) and if it passes there all is sweet

most places do both anyways :D

316eyes- congrats on the pass!

Don't know whether it means anything but on the print out the fast idle test is listed first.
Carried out on Sun equipment so it could be that other testing rigs give a differently printed sheet.
I always understood that both tests were part of the MOT ???
