How do I get the ignition barrel out of its surround? Someone decided they wanted my car last night, and didnt feel like asking me for the keys.

How do I get the ignition barrel (red arrow) out of the suround/holder (yellow arrow).

Thanks guys.

If you cant get the key in, you need a whole new lock assembly.

Try removing the chromed piece fromt he top of the barrel - you might be able to get a key in then.

Ok, I cut that all off with a hacksaw. Got the barrel out. Now I just need to re-assemble it, then I'm on my way.
Thanks for the help guys.
