Ԛ£50? now that has to be the bargain of the century even without tax + mot.
are you intending to keep it for years? if so make sure its mechanically sound before you waste money on fancy bodykits etc.

i think even though its badged as a 316 its actually a 1.8 engine but at 90 bhp its not going to thrill you much.a 325 engine would be changed fairly easily for not much cash giving you 170bhp

if you are just using it as a run around the 1.6 wud be ok, (no worse than a 4dr 316 anyway) but if you are filling her up then she will be woefully slow.
did they have rear discs on the late 316's? if so an engine swap would be fairly straight forward i'd have thought. I wouldnt want to put a 325 engine in it if it only had drums to stop it!

Bit low in spec, but for Ԛ£50 ......
Your tourer will have rear discs, front vented discs, the larger front struts and a read anti roll bar. All it needs to receive a 2.5 engine is some 6 pot front springs.

I've got a K reg tourer too, if it's 92 it'll have a cat, bypass that to stop it stealing 10 of your 90 bhp. If not mtech 2 kit then SE skirts, IS lip
