What can i do to my e30????? need ideas

Hi every1.
Ive got a white 1984 316 and have done the odd thing to it but i dont know what to do next to improve the looks and sound without spending too much money because im still in school and off to uni in september so have to be very careful with my money..

At the moment its got:
15" 5 spokes
lowered 40mm
twin tail bb2 back box and straight through centre section
sunstrip
clear side repeaters
not to forget the twin tone air horn

Any ideas would be great to hear

to improve the sound dan, you could buy a big bore throttle body to do this you have to email alpina527@aol.com, the cost is Ãƒ”šÃ‚£120 and once he sends you the throttle body you send him your original one. this would certanilly open up the sound of your BB2!

also to go with the throttle body or just on its own and once again this opens up the sound of your BB2 you could buy a ecu chip from the zone, not sure how much it is for one of these on a 316, but its only Ãƒ”šÃ‚£55 for a 320i!. to buy one of these you need to either pm "ant" or email him at "chips@e30zone.co.uk". hell be able to tell you the benefits and price for one of these.

Sounds like a nice motor you got there!

Just wonderin about your exhaust. Ive got exactly the same bb2 back box with straight through center section. have you got it through an mot like this?

ive got mine next month and i think im gonna have to do somethin about it lol.

Id say just keep it clean and keep it euro

Also get a weber carb and a KnN filter and make that exhaust start poppin rally styleeee lol

I chopped the centre box out after the mot so not sure on what theyd think bout it.....mine certainly isnt too loud tho so it will pass on sound levels but not sure bout emissions.......

Mine is unfortunately an auto so not sure bout a weber for it because ive got kickdown with it bein an auto so not sure whether the webers do a suitable one..

lol si316!

i got my 1.2 8v clio to start popping in every gear shift apart from 4th to 5th, had to gently accelerate to 3k, then change gear and POP lol. also couldnt stop the thing from popping when the acceleration decreased! hehehe turned some heads i did!

all i had was a K&N induction kit, de-cat pipe and a BB2 exhaust! made it sound a treat

Lol sounds awesome dont it, when ever i lift off mine pops like crazy........its over fueling like mad at the mo so its doin it even more than ever

hehehe it was unberlievable seing as its a 1.2! funny you mentioned over-fueling as i think mine was just a tad! lol

what have you done to yours to get it popping in a 316?

p.s where abouts in cheshire are you buddy? as im moving to weston soon.

Its got the weber carb conversion, KnN open filter, center box cut out and bb2 back box.

mine pops at the moment just with bb2 and removed centre box....now and again a nice bang comes out which is always good when ur drivin through a town..hehe
