of course your car's not poo

red cars are cool :D - there are very few around, modern cars/buyers don't seem to go for them

but the 'zone elite won't get excited over a 4 door, and they won't like the 17s

and I personally can't stand people who have front fog-lights on when it's not foggy - very inconsiderate :(

I didn't say '17s', I said 'the 17s' :D

there's a thread around somewhere which sparked some comments - called 'council mods' or something; I would imagine your particular 17s would fall into the 'council' category winkeye

I personally don't think 17s are a good idea on an E30; screws the handling; the best wheels are probably the ones you took off :D light and strong, 15" BMW BBS with a 55 or 50 profile tyre will rock on the UKs poor road surfaces

but you might not care about handling - just enjoy your E30, German engineering icon

iS was only ever used on the 318 with the 16v engine

some people call a 325 Sport a 325iS, but I don't think BMW ever did

If you have a sport, it'll say on the V5, but they tend to be the 2-door coupe rather than the 4-doors; difference is M-tech suspension (15mm lower), LSD and close-ratio gearbox (and some bodykit perhaps)

The engine in your should be an M20B25

The m20 is the engine type, and the other number is the capacity 2.5l (320's are M20B20, eta lumps are M20B27 iirc)

Take it to a good tyre and exhaust centre that has a four wheel allignment system, its the only way to really tell whats going on, unless one wheel is obviously sitting on the p1ss.

hay bro your cab looks spot,

yo orangecurry wats up! i have noticed that the 325 in
the uk were produced as sports as apossed to an IS but this is not the case world round,
in a country right at the bottom of africa home to the kruger park and biltong 325is were sold although it'd be hard to get your hands on a clean one No 1 theft car in the country,

also produced there was an out the box 333 producing 187kw only pre 88 models (pretty RARE)
any body got the know how to arrange some pics (i'll sure as hell try)

PHONE BRITANNY SPEARS!

but never recieved M3

With a decent drop those 17s will look good - Ive always liked white (or black) wheels on a Red car.

The 325iS from South Africa is totally different to our UK 325i Sports. They had 2.7 engine, ally panels and some had the 5 stud setup - its what our Sports should of been to set them aside from the rest of the 325i range IMO.

Take the reg or vin number to the dealers - they will be able to tell you what spec your car is.

Not really, I only know a little bit about the 325iS because I thought about importing one from SA but couldnt find one with decent history.

sorry guys I was keeping it simple and UK-only for Noney82 :D

I thought it was obvious he just wanted the UK info

the 320iS was produced in Europe in LHD only but only where they have heavy taxes on any engine over 2litres so it was an M3 alternative - ish - similar M3 power from a similar 4-pot, but ordinary E30 steering and chassis so nowhere near as good as an M3 to drive; there's been one for sale in Italy on Ebay for a few weeks now.

there's also the iX...

if anyone has a 333 I'd love to see the pics - South Africa only wasn't it?

naaaah not Dutch either - well not according to Babelfish

you can guess what it says - using the engine from a 733, and that they only made 204? Now that's an expensive run for any manufacturer
