just had new engine fitted and cant get it to fire. here is the story in a nutshell (325i)
1. old engine went bang
2. new engine sourced - early high compression engine
3. engine fitted and injector rail, font pulley sensor transferred over from old engine
4. ECU chip (which was originally a racelogic chip ??) replaced with Zone Wild Chip
5. existing loom not changed or disturbed
6. connected loom to replacement engine and ECU
7. now only fires once then stops ?? there is power at the injector pins but both pins appear to have power - would expect one to be power and the other to be ground ?
ANY IDEAS ??
ECU problems ??

Short answer to this one is, it's whatever you've broken or connected wrong. ECU failure is very rare, but you've had it apart, so nothing can be ruled out.
Short together pins 30 and 87 of the fuel pump relay socket and check you have fuel pressure.
Fuel supply/return pipes the right way around?

thanks - problem solved. there was a rogue wire that had been connected (looks like an earth) that shouldnt have been. I took the old engine out but my garage buy put the new one in so it was not obvious !!! running OK now though !! cheers
