can anyone give me any tips
i have e30 G reg 325i 184000 mile
at 40mph+ there is a humming noise at the front right (i think)

when going round a sharp right corner noises dies off, opposite when left corner

the arms from the steering rack to the ball joints rotate in my hands free enough. is this some thing or should it do this anyway.

thanks
Don't you wish there were a knob on the TV to turn up the intelligence? There's one marked 'Brightness', but it doesn't work.

wheel bearings.

but unless the noise is silly loud, or the wheel wobbles about, best bet is too leave them until you can tell which one it is (or change both), they are not too badly priced (think 30squids each) and fitting can be a pain as big spanners invloved and jack stands etc.

i had similar thing and was convinced it was my drivers side (in uk!) we changed the front wheel bearing and whaddya know? it was the wrong one! Doh! changed the other and no worries.
