Is there anyone on here who can advise me on, and do the work on an engine swap for me.
I havent got a clue what to go for or what the costs are, so I need some help.

what engine are you starting with and what are your aims (bhp etc)?

Thats the thing, I dont know what I want!

I currently have a 2.5 which is on its way out, as it needs to be replaced at some point I may aswell go bigger. Obviously the cheaper the better (want to keep well under Ԛ£1k).

well easy way early 325i high compression extra 2obhp straight way chip for better thotttle response
cheap 2.7
so many options the choice is yours

for that money, i'd hunt down a E34 535i and drop the 3.5 M30 lump in. :D

budget wise, i reckon 1k is easily doable, especially if you find a manual E34 and can sell some of the parts on. The E32 is likely to cost less but there's not much of a market for the parts and finding a manual one is unlikely.

Atleast then id get free fuel with the amount of chip fat my work disposes of!
