Is there anyone on here who can advise me on, and do the work on an engine swap for me.
I havent got a clue what to go for or what the costs are, so I need some help.

Thats the thing, I dont know what I want!
I currently have a 2.5 which is on its way out, as it needs to be replaced at some point I may aswell go bigger. Obviously the cheaper the better (want to keep well under Ԛ£1k).

for that money, i'd hunt down a E34 535i and drop the 3.5 M30 lump in.
budget wise, i reckon 1k is easily doable, especially if you find a manual E34 and can sell some of the parts on. The E32 is likely to cost less but there's not much of a market for the parts and finding a manual one is unlikely.
