engine code position on an M50

where about would you find the engine code on the block on an M50 engine.

one in a scrappy local to me and im not sure if its a 2.0 or 2.5...

It's on the left (intake) side of the block, just above the sump, near, or on some models under, the aluminium motor mount arm.

Get the last seven digits of the VIN and feed it into the ETK. Easier than trying to read the engine number in situ.

It's the electronic parts catalogue.
Comes on CD / DVD & gives you not only part numbers but shedloads of other info.
Give us the last seven digits of the vin number & we'll tell you what engine it is (providing it has'nt been changed during the life of the car).

anywhere i can get this ETK? i had EPC for vauxhalls it was good, never told you any car information or that tho, only part numbers.
