easter is a funny time of year for me - usually the weather has picked up a bit and i'm confident that there's no more salt to be thrown all over the roads so i get the cars up in the air and scrub the arches and undersides clean using plenty of water and an array of stiff brushes. takes me all day and i get filthy.

now am i mad? if i believe the looks of the people that walk past me while i'm working then i'm certifiable with ease. how many of you perform this yearly ritual?

tomorrow it's paintbrush and waxoyl time. how i wish for a garage or even a driveway/somewhere off road. at least i could be mad with a little privacy...

not at all mad placey ive done this a time or two on my old clio, i would of thought alot of people would also be doing this as it is a big concern for me to keep the arches clean and salt free as the rust starts to set in on older cars :(

i think ill pass on your radioactive disks :P

I have a better way of doing it.

Karcher High Pressure Jet Washer.

For Ԛ£100 u can do in a matter of minutes what it takes u all day to do. It cleans it pretty well and is so little hassle that u can do it every weekend if ur a clean freak!

I'm quite lucky,I know a couple of people with these industrial power washers, diesel run jobbies, great bits of kit, just can't afford three grand for one!
However,I keep looking at the ones you can buy on the high street, seems you can get a good Karcher or similar for little money.

Bloody hell....were the pigs really that dirty? :P

100 quid sounds a bargain for a decent pressure washer....I think the fact they can get rid of the moss from the cracks in the driveway is a good selling point for getting my dad to buy one :D

i'd love a pressure washer - only thing is i live in the city and don't have the following:

outside front tap
outside front power
safe parking outside the house

so i have to cart everything i need over to the car to get anything done. it's a real bummer when i have everything out there and then need a pee - i have to either secure everything or trust nothing gets nicked.
