Having some suspension issues at the moment on the rear. Have put 40 mm springs on for an IS and it looks standard height. (60mm on front, so car looks like daft nose down!)

I have been offered some 60mm springs for a normal 318, will they fit? :?

I know the fronts are different regarding the struts, ie 51 and 45 mm.

Havent got a pic with the springs fitted yet, but the rears are the same height as this pic. The front sits lovely, about 5 mm gap now between tyre and arch.

Standard iS springs are Mtec ones, although they do sit a bit high IMO!

Wouldnt advise the 316 front springs, but dont see a problem using the rear ones,I would anyway :)

Thanks mate. I have new shortened shocks and 60/40 kit fitted, but the rear looks well high! Will try the normal 318 60mm ones just on the rear next week. :D

Anything to make it look level! lol!

You might find that the springs you have on sink a little after a while though.
Maybe give it a week or so?

The rear springs are no different in their fit / design but remember that the drop quoted for a 318 will not be the same for the 318is. My car is currently sitting on standard 318i rear springs due to a screw up in the parts delivery so I should be able to provide a height chart by the end of next week (when they are replaced) from worn original mtec / standard springs / new mtec!

Looking at the pics, what size tyres are you running?

they look like 50 profile tyres to me which won't be helping, as they only look good when the car is decked

but with shortened shocks and 40mm it should sit nicely

Thanks for the advice. :D

They are 205/50 tyres. The rear springs shall be on by the end of the week, I will post pics of what it looks like. :D
