IIRC the filter is on the feed side and goes direct to the fuel rail, the pressure reg is on the return side of things.
I got it right first time when I needed to start the S50, but that was more luck than anything else.

its just a small plastic seat which clips in.
The drivers side mount is the long one, you just pull it up from the end and it comes off.Then you just pop the new seat in.
number 6.Use one on each end.the longer one is 120mm long which is fitted to the m20 engined e30's

Ahh, brings back fond memories!
Think everything has been answered by the zone guru's.
On the coolant side I used M20 Header tank, E36 top and bottom hoses and I got a new E36 M3 Evo rad so I could fit the temp switch into it. My E30 M3 fan is wired direct to the battery via the temp switch.
I'w well hacked off as I put loads of effort into finishing my touring and I'm still waiting for that twat to come back with my tailgate/bonnet/tech2 front and rear bits. Its so pissing off looking at it just sitting doing nothing.
Anyway good luck with the rest of the build.....its well worth it

shit reminds me talking bout cooling.. need to pick up my silicon hoses for the heater matrix.. that'll be a fun job i reckon![]()
itԚ´s the cleanest way possible, no expansion tank anywhere except the rad one,
I belive I used a cut up M40 hose to get the right bends and angles for the hose,

On the subject of cooling:
I need a radiator and piping. Before I get the ones from an E36M3 I was considering an E36 325i radiator (much cheaper and easier to find at the scrappies for a start). This has the header tank built into the rad.
Is this possible? How would I pipe it? I'm sure the rad has the cooling ability.

which type of slave cylinder should be fitted to an m3 box?
i fucked the one i'd put in there when i put fluid in it.. pressed the clutch when it was out the box and the end popped out n wouldnt go back in.. but then found another one i was supplied when i bought the engine n box...
which one should it be..

use the stock one or a E36 one, just make sure itԚ´s the right diameter otherwise the clutch might be to stiff,

Is there a sollution for using one of these rads with the header tank built in (a la 325i E36)? I'd like to save space/make the engine bay neat so they look like a good idea. I'm sure they'll cool enough (pretty sure)

Right having gone out n washed the E30 the other week i actually went about getting on with this again today..
Got a few questions now tho.. The heater matrix/Y pipes does it matter what direction they are plumbed up? Ie does the top matrix pipe have to go to the Y pipe etc?
When ppl talk about turning the wiring round in order to fit the ecu in its original place, i assume they have to mod the wire cover (standard e36 m3 one..)
what size spacer are people using with the e36 rack conversion? Mine is 13mm n doesnt reach quite far enough.. I'd say it needed another 5mm or so
how did people extend the oil drain piping? its flared at the y pipe end..
errrrr think that might be it other than a couple of random connectors i need identifying but need to get pics of them.

Heater must flow in at the bottom and out at the top. Tee hose to top.
