Being having a few problems with the starter switch, ignition comes on but no sound from the starter solanoid. i want to fit a push button start does any one know which two wires i need to use? PM me

Red with white trace (terminal 30) battery positive.

Black with Yellow trace (Start signal to solenoid).

And what sort of button are you using?
I'm not completely perfect.......there are some bits missing or broken.

Nothing new in the world - all the first minis did - it was mounted on the floor though.

We've an old Austin Healey with a starter button on the dash. And a 1935 Talbot, come to think of it.
