Can any of you knowledgeable lot tell me how to advance the ignition timing on my E30 (post facelift, euro spec) 325i? I want to run 97 octane fuel and take advantage of it but not have to buy a 'superchip' or similar. Is there also a way to change, or remove, the rev limit?

3 ways I know of. There are spark advance modules that are sometimes fitted when an engine is converted to run on LPG, you can modify the bracket that holds the crank position sensor, or you can slot the holes that retain the crank nose pulley.
