well time to put the prop in so i can torque up the creank pulley bolt (and drive of course) but one thing- i have ripped out a 2 litre box and prop and replaced with a sport box and prop (personally removed so know it right) but the centre bearing looks to be an 1" or so away from the mounting holes?
any ideas?
swapping props - centre bearing 1" off?

wrong prop for the gear box or undo the centre nut and slide the two halves of the shaft apart. (dont forget to mark the two halves incase you pull them apart or else it will never be balanced and junk)
if you pull em apart grease the splines too.
IIRC 320 props and 325 props are different lengths anyway (well atually the front portion is different) so maybe by swapping a 320 box for a 325 or sport box you now need the correct prop shaft.)
note there are also two centre bearings for the E30 6 clynder and they are not interchangable.

As mrlee says, 2.0 and 2.5 props are different.
You can check this on the etk by putting your chassis number in, finding the prop, copy and paste the part no then go to the original screen and "search by part no" etc, etc - this will tell you all models your original prop is compatable with.
