hi all , just got back from where i got my alarm installed, i was enquiring on how much it would cost to fix my car up with door poppers and link them to my alarm, ( as i want to de-handle it ).
i was happy with the price of Ԛ£50 per door, was ready to book it in untill he asked me what car it was for and on telling him it was for an e30 he said he couldnt do it. something to do with having nowhere to fit the bits.
has any one on here got this done if so how did you do it.
cheers for any info you can give.

howsit. very easy. well.. in principal.
various ways of doing it too...
you can attach your central locking solenoids to your door-catch/latch..
so when u press ur central locking button, the door pops open. i did EXACTLY this on my pickup.
ideally u want selective central locking. i.e press once, drivers door opens, press twice and passenger door opens.
this works mostly with 2 door vehicles. on a 4dr, you'd constantly be running around closing all the doors before u drive off.
another thing, as far as im away, most of the places in the world dont allow it.
will certainly fail mot, or over here we call it ROAD WORTHY TEST.
the standards bureau in most countries deem that a vehicle must have a door handle and a door pin.
wait. not sure about door pin..

if this so popular why do people do this?
surely, the door is stable in the closed position?
some cars dont even have roofs. does that make them not road worthy in your country?

some vehicles with non standard locks have what they call INERTIA SWITCHES, very expensive as far as i know.
this basically unlocks the doors on heavy impact.
phone one of your MOT places and ask em if u are allowed shaved handles.
i think it has to do with incase ur involved in a heavy accident or whatever.
The whole thing is bullshit if u ask me... i dont see it being such an issue... but hey..
u see with my pickup i wanted to do it.. then found out about the stuff so decided to convert back to regular.

I used a boot solenoid because it pulls and releases........where a lock solenoid tends to keep your latch pulled out and your door does not latch back in place
And in South Africa they didnâ┚¬Ã¢”ž¢t even noticed the door handle where missing â┚¬Ã‚¦.lol
And it looks great
Connect the boot solenoid with your central locking solenoid and the same on the passenger door but with a volt delay
First click unlocks the door
Second pops driver door
And third pops passenger door
Itâ┚¬Ã¢”ž¢s a good idea trust me you donâ┚¬Ã¢”ž¢t want to closed you driver door every time you get something out you boot
And the cool thing then is every time you turn you car off your door opens up for you
Just put a "back up cable" inside your boot incase your batteryâ┚¬Ã¢”ž¢s flat (Car or remote)
I will sent you a wiring diagram
