Hello all.

i would like to tell you all about a six branch equal length stainless steel manifold manufactured by BTB, in daventry.
I run a 325i mtech 2 with an alpina c2 2.7 engine, No 0495, it had its standard 6 branch manifold and performed pretty good, sounded nice with a lovely rasp coupled to a scorpion stainless steel system,
I purchased the manifold from SAL of XS PERFORMANCE, who also gave me advise on how to fit the manifold without much difficulty, the swop over took approx 45 mins, and the results are absolutely astounding,
I cannot put into words the sound that this manifold makes over the ALPINA manifold, and power is definately up with no flat spots whatsoever,
This really is a fantastic bolt on,

No, it's a guy called Gary Swain who got a fantastic bargain on a proper C2 engine and stuck it in his Sport.

Very enthusiastic about his machine as all E30 owners should be.

I'm just jealous - can't justify spending 700 notes on something that's not bust

Gadjit,

I would love one and have spoken to XS who were really helpful. My car is mainly used for the track and fast road use over the TT course here on the Isle of Man. I need to put a quick rack in as the E30 as 45 turns lock-to-lock steering is not good on the track... winkeye The problem is (apart from Ԛ£700) that the BTB manifold won't fit if I do a steering upgrade (so XS have advised). Is it really tight in there with the new manifold on?

Sounds awesom I bet..

Cheers

It is rust :) and because the car only does about 3k miles a year, stopping it from dissolving is more important than power or economy right now! the nearside rear arch had a pin-head sized buble on it when I bought he car nearly a year ago and now its full on - may have to replace the entire thing. just haven't gotten around to it.

It gets so little use that I should think about selling it but I'll need to tidy it up first....
