Chat Room Proposal

Donâ┚¬Ã¢”ž¢t know if this subject been brought up before but I thick it would be an good idea for this site to host a Chat room where we all can chat together and not wait for a reply on a post ....we could still use the forums for all the questions we all have but just to have a chat room for killing some time when we need to kill some time!!

Any suggestions would be good

sounds like a nice idea, but it will kill the forum, people will get most questions answered on the chat, and it wont be avalible for everyone to see later on. I think this was brought up a while ago, not sure if public opinion has changed since then, but most guys were against it.
I personally not a big fan of chats, i only have internet avaliable at work, so when i get a chance i log on to the zone and see what i missed, but i know for a fact that chats are blocked on my work network.

Some people do have their MSN or Yahoo ids in their profiles, so u could add them and talk to them using these programs i guess

thats the exact purpose of having those buttons, gives you the ability to real time chat if you want, outside of the forum software

we looked at chat in the past, it would have an adverse effect on the forum, so , in short

it aint gonna happen

Also its virtually impossible to moderate, and with the type of people the zone attracts (Yes Pacerpete, Andyboy, Geeman I'm talking about you ) Who knows what sort of wrongness could occur!
