fruit of the yard

had a brilliant day today! finished work a 14.30 as i had finished all the work they had for me.

called in at the scrap yard on my way home and found a muddy but very good condition tech-ll steering wheel and a usefull 3" elbow off a 530 Ãƒ”šÃ‚£10 in all!!!

had to hacksaw throught the steering lock as the scrapper didnt have the key,but it came off intact!

put some leather restorer on it and it as good as new! no rips or tears, mint

Have any of you got any scrap yard bargins lately??

Nothing exciting, but i got a mint wheel brace, mint warning triangle, and mint towing eye for a bargaintastic Ãƒ”šÃ‚£2, lol

I got a slightly damaged full tech 2 kit for Ãƒ”šÃ‚£24 once sold it for Ãƒ”šÃ‚£250. every ones happy espeicaly me!!

If only i had a decent scrappy round my too

Did get a set of M-Tecknik door sills (no longer available, so dan told me) for a tenner, that's probably my best bargin

No Ãƒ”šÃ‚£2 jobbies for me

na any scrappy near me want to rip me off! apparently if i go out the way a bit i should be able to get some deals but oh my word................they have serious issues with greed!

will find some better ones soon.

nice finds. i got half a took kit from a car boot.. just walked out with it as if it was part of my kit.. probably 40 quids worth of cheap sockets etc but well worth having..

Its finding a scrapper these days that lets you walk about, theres only 1 left near me now that does this, all the rest are counter service only, and if someone has to go look for you, can only immagine this bumps up the price...and then half the time you dont get what you want as the guy cant be bothered looking...hence i still use the "walk about" one...besides you cant beat a good rummage through a scrappers! Always see some interesting things!

I got Cruise control and OBC for Ãƒ”šÃ‚£15. They are having a clear out in all the yards near me at the moment so not much about.

Does anyone know of any decent yards in Sussex?

I am after a number of bits and would hate to think that they would be rotting in a yard somewhere near me.

alwyn briges at pease pottage is your best bet. get of the m23 at pease services and its right there. pm me if you need more details. its a cracker with about 6 E30's there this week..
