I had a cracking day out at the pod, caught up with some Zone regulars and met some new folks too, had a laugh and a chat, my car did better than i thought it would on the strip but it kicked me in the nuts on the M1 on the way back home.
The bloody petrol gauge was reading a third of a tank left but i ran out of fuel
The RAC took ages to get to me too !

to prevent breakdowns, take every tool and spare you have. otherwise you'll break down and won't have the parts or tools! sods law!
i had more tools than i could fit in the touring boot but nothing broke!

I saw Ian's chariot do a couple of runs at the end of thw day, saw a couple of 14.1's, no disrespect but thought it would have been quicker.
Andy, your touring was quite an impressive site on the strip

I think the E30 is around 1200 and the 36 is 1450-1500, 46 is 1550-1600 ???
mine is 1300(325 Tourings are 1270 so 30 odd kgs for the engine swap ?)

But on the up side of the later cars they got progressively better rear suspension and the ability to fit bigger wheels and tyres which helps getting the power down

My old Skyline was 280bhp and weighed 1450kgs - my best time was 14.3 @ 98mph so I would guess that 250hp would be a good estimate - they say that terminal speed is the best indicator...
