Can you fit an E36 M3 steering wheel to an E30 and is it a straight change over with no boss change?

Is a tech 2 wheel not an E36 wheel then?

no again! two tech 2 wheels one for E34 one for E30, the E34 is slightly bigger diameter but fits on the E30 (and vice versa) E32 and E30/E34 are not interchangable. Think also later E34's with airbag also do not fit the E30.

The tech 2 refers to the second generation Mtech E30(on this site!!), the Tech 1 is normally found on the pre-facelift sport model and is a three spoke wheel.

they did make an Mtech wheel for the E32 however but no idea what it is called.
