My 325 is producing 189bhp at the flywheel (calculated)
Dunno about the M3 cos I'vee never had it on a 'road.

The 325 is standard apart from Chipped UK chip/map and Magnex exhaust with OEM centre box and manifold.
1987 Henna Rot M3 (was 195bhp CAT..now more and no cat)
2001 E46 330i SE Touring (manual)

Not sure it is ever really certain. Even if you rolling road your car, a different rolling road could be set up differently and outside influences effect it. ie I find my car is quicker when its cold out. I drove to Santa Pod today and was ragging it down some lanes but at about 8pm when I was ragging it again it felt quicker, something to do with air density I believe.

I have had mine rolling roaded as standard and it was 165, just need to to it again as it now has a Zone chip

That's very true about the air temps. My inlets were at about 40degrees when it was mapped which ain't great for making power, they never get above about 20degrees on the open road and it does make a big difference. You can feel it when you've been kicking about in traffic for a while too.

However, a figure achieved using some kind of repeatable measurement is much better than the arse-dyno that Saxo drivers seem to rely heavily on......"yeah mate, I fitted a Power boost valve and it's given me at least 40 horsepower"

Yep but a go faster stripe actually works for them, Did you know they can get 5bhp for every stripe they put on and ever more for graphics.

Amazing some of those guys can get 25bhp just by adding graohics

Amazing

thats why they usually have the huge fan at the r/r so its colder denser air thats being forced in.itll be as certain as you need with only a couple of horses difference between various tests.
