hmmm will D plate be an early engine which means you can either put a lower compression plate thingy in or get a later engine lower compression. You'll also need MS (megasquirt) standalone managment.

yeah dude... have a good think before you jump into it.. ive just done it recently on a late lower compression engine and still managed to blow head gasket... i didnt bother going for the non stretch bolts and trying to lower compression even more.... trying to get car back on the road quickly but properly this time.... but everyone on the zone is well helpfull...

You can use stock management and a RRFPR but it's not a very good way of controlling the engine and it has serious flaws.silver325i wrote:so i can use my engine !!![]()

For the price of MS, mapped and fitted it's the only way to go!!
Ant will fit and map your MS for a small fee, especially when you consider the alternative, emerald, is Ԛ£750 for just the ECU!

Yeah, definately get a programmable ECU to handle fuel and sparks, it's what unleashes the potential of a blower setup!

Well, if worst came to worse, you could keep the original exhaust system and put it back to standard.....but you won't wanna do that!
