I borrowed one once for the evening, great car, I considered it before I got my M3 evo (E36) :o: Fantastic as you'd expect but very cramped inside. I'd imagine on a hot day if there was 2 of you in there you'd emerge looking like ace ventura did when he 'popped' out of the rhino when the fan stopped working. Sounds amazing, still looks good now which is why they hold there price but v small on the inside IMO

I kinda like unusual stuff (hence the sport) I wouldnt touch an e36, just not for me.
I think the coupe looks the nuts in black.

I have to get rid of my sport first! I dunno how much people will pay for a 335.
Ive spent a fortune on it over the years.

Brilliant cars. M3Imy has one , driven it a few times and they are so so accomplished.

+ the nutty looks.

Not as well built on the inside as they should be but that wouldn't really put me off given the performance.

Supercharger kits available from USA which turn it into a real beast.

Will get one in the near future.

Do it, the car is quite practical compared to most 2 seaters, i am 6''1 and found it a bit cramped as the seat does not go back too far, but got used to it quickly. Boot is fairly big only annoying thing about the car is the luggage cover squeeks (and you continuiosly turn on the rear demister with your elbow :x

mine not the Mcoupe but was the M54 engine so quick enough, and do trust me me when i say with the traction control off those things go sideways unlike any other car i have driven, but very controlable,

Unfortunately i just sold mine today (need cash to buy a house) but reckon its a future classic, and cant see the values dropping too much (i actually made 800quid on my car and had it for two years!!)

best angle of the car is from the top, looks proper evil!!

that'll be the e30 rear end lol

Great cars but lairy, i'd have to go for estoril blue with the blue and black leather.

M Roadsters are cheaper if you can get on with the looks

Theres no way i would have a roadster! I do like the estoril blue but not sure about the blue/black leather.
Much prefer the black/grey but i think this is rarer.

I've had mine for 18 months and am still enjoying it. I had an e30 m3 before and although I miss it I wouldn't swap back. It can keep up with most things on the road. The only thing that has made me look stupid is an 996 turbo but then you would expect that.

I don't rate the standard suspension at all. I've got ACS setup on mine and can carry very good speeds into corners. The car also has brutal accelleration and is also well balanced with the uprated suspension.

2 other zoners (BMK and M3Rags) have made the step up from the e30 m3 to the M Coupe recently and Rags had an e46 m3 before the M Coupe. It attracts a lot of attention as people just don't know what they are. It will be at Santa Pod on Saturday if I don't have to drive a van up there for our stand.

If you are patient you can get a very good early one for Ԛ£15k now. www.z3mcoupe.com the ultimate M Coupe website.

How much i have to spend really depends on how much i can get for my E30. I may have to save a bit longer to get 15k tho, i was hoping about 13-14k ish but its pointless buying a rough one.

You can buy a good one for Ԛ£13-14k. Imy's has only 55k on it, you can buy one cheaper if you are ok with say 80k miles. I would personally not pay a premium for a very low mileage car given how robust BMW's are.

I would suggest you join www.z3mcoupe.com , great forum. We are on there aswell.

I will also be joining the ZM clan in the near future.

I have just bought one for Ԛ£8600, its a '99, 21000 genuine miles in dakar yellow with history and taxed and mot'd but on the list, it had very light o/s/ damage and was fixed a couple of years ago , it was a reasonable repair . The car needs about Ԛ£1500 spent to get up to scratch including some paint(it's faded) , then its off to australia where its past will not haunt it ..... :D

I've seen that Top gear test, very impressive.

Try taking one round a track - even more impressive.
