You can't get in through the back seat.
Guess you will have to beat the lock in! unless someone else comes up with a more suitable alternative...

Remove the rear seat base (just pull up at the front edge) also the rear seat back (two 10mm bolts one in each corner.
In the centre of the metal panel behind the rear seat is a perforated section (to push ski's through!) break through in this area to gain acces to the boot space.
Use a long enxtension socket and ratchet to undo the boot lid striker or latch assembly, boot should now pop open.
This should work as long as your boot is not rammed full of stuff.
Good luck.

Does your car have a rear arm rest?
The area to break through is directly behind the space that the rear arm rest folds down out of.

Cant you get in the boot by smashing the rear cluster and popping the lock that way?

Just another thought... their is also the cardboard boot trim to get past, when the rear seat back is removed you should be able to see the plastic fixing rivets, just knock the centre out of the rivet and the cardboard should just push into the boot space without damage.
Ok you could "sacrifice/butcher" the lock or rear cluster, but use this method and when the seat back and cardboard trim is replaced it's all invisible.
Good luck.

Success! Used Emo's method and it works. Handy having that panel to pop out. One more problem, any ideas where I can get a second hand lock and switch please? I think the lock I have is already a replacement and I dont have the correct key, and now the switch has packed up, I cannot relock the boot. At least I can get in though. Thanks again!!
