Passenger seat & Electric window

Hi all,

just y'day my passenger seat decided to stop working on my 318iS. When the level is pulled fully, the seat doesn't move 4ward to allow ppl to climb in the back, it's just stuck there!. Is this bcoz the lever just isn't pulling the cables enough to release the latch at the bottom of the seat to operate the mechanism?

Also, my driver window stop working. I switched over the electric switches but it didn't make a diff. then I stripped the door card and just started wacking the motor, and it started working. Does this mean the motor is on the way out? if so, how much is a new 1 and can fit it myself??

id check the wiring if you say it started to work

was it working smootly or stuttering etc??

reg seat

prob cable as you say
either stretched or snapped
take back off and investigate

cables bout 5/6quid i think from dealers

As 4 the window, no, once I knocked the motor is moved smoothly no judering or jerking.

Do u think the cables that enter the door next to the door hindges could be at fault???
