not a bad price, why are you changing them though, they last 4 ever dude !
my lach touring still has the originals as far as I can tell ( FSH 226K ) and they are 100% spot on for resistance and condition still.

I got some 8mm Magnacore ones as they're about the same as stock and should in theory be better

Er.. no I mean sympathies...
The newer cars can do you some really nasty damage or even kill with their high voltage stuff.
Does anyone have any horror stories?

The wifes Metro had loads of problems, but in the end it was running but lumpy. A couple of garage trips didn't fix it so I had a look, started it up and went to pull out an HT lead and got an almighty shock up the arm. New leads and it ran a treat!

I've never come across a duff E30 ignition lead either, except for the odd one that has been physically damaged.
Don't waste your money on Magnacor or other fancy leads. Leave them for the people who need them - like Land Rover and Ford owners.
OE leads are every bit as good as Magnecor, so just get a second hand one or set, if you're convinced yours are dud.

Think you'll find there's a slight difference in quality between Rover and BMW OE parts!DemonDaz wrote:The wifes Metro had loads of problems, but in the end it was running but lumpy. In all fairness I have tested Magnecor leads on several cars and they give a better spark and better performance and will last far longer than originals...also thicker and even a nice colour if want blue or red (race leads)
Downside as thicker difficult to fit in holders...
But also work better with Gas conversions, competition engines etc
Accept Behr leads (original) are excellent , but expensive to replace, but some cars are now old and leads can break down
Only other downside is magnecor cant get Behr plug ends foe the E30 M3 but they perform well
Dont want to get into a dispute but this is my opinion...accept yours may be different

I fully agree Magnecor leads are excellent - but so are OE BMW. BMW are not "several cars"
I know all about the ignition requirements of LPG cars - I've run a 325 touring on the stuff for several years - on 250,000 mile, 18 year old original ignition leads.
You're doing well if you can get a Land Rover to work on gas for three years without renewing the leads.

Agreed...I was just adding the the thread...if replacement is required then the Magnecor items offer a high quality option that is cheaper than the originals and Euros etc..
See you at a show sometime
