Rcently bought a TB to put on my 86 cab while i cleaned and polished mine, trouble is the water pipe connectors are on completely different sides.Has anybody fitted a later one to an early engine and if so how did you get round it.Its probably bloody obvious but im sufferin with man flu at moment and thinking even less straight than normal

easiest thing to do is not bother with the water heated inlet, it only heats the body to prevent freezing, and without it technically your car will run faster (and makes me laugh with people fitting cold air induction kits but leaving the heated TB on the car  ) block off the hoses that would feed it. your TB is unlikely to freeze unless you live in Iceland or similar.

Mrlee, exscuse my ignorance but when you say heated water hoses ,do you mean the two that come from the thermostat and block?

Cooler air into the inlet manifold will slightly increase performance.
