Sorry for asking soo many questions. But what is the difference between the 320i and 325i ECU systems? Are they cross compatible? Where can I read more about it?

Depend's on year, But 25 ecu has higher values..
M30 Tech 1 Touring on gas.

Later 320 and 325 ECUs are the same apart from the chip.
If you're chipping the ECU it doesn't matter which one you start with.
