Full OBC instructins are on here somewhere, but in the meantime:
Press "consum", and then toggle through the three available sets of units (US, UK and metric) by pressing the recessed button on the front lower left.

Unscrew it, four screws dead fiddlly, remove the readio and the glovebox bits, then replace the bulb. Easy but fiddly, the bulb is 20p from maplin an needs soldering in place. You'll see the bulb holder instantly when you remove the unit. There is a way to loosen it and pull the bulb holder out but by the time I done that it was easier to remove the unit !

It's important to replace both bulbs. They have to be identical.Herrity wrote:Unscrew it, four screws dead fiddlly, remove the readio and the glovebox bits, then replace the bulb. Note: A new complete light bar from BMW is well over Ԛ£20, so it's well worth making an effort to replace just the bulbs. They are 5V ones.

the bulb holder is the white plastic thing at one side - you slide the whole thing out - use thin-nosed pliers.
It's NOT the bulb you can easily see from the back of the unit - this single bulb back-illuminates the buttons - the twin 5v bulbs on the white slidy-bar illuminate the display
Brian... human? Nahhhhhhhhhhhhhh
