Hello people

I've eventually got round to posting some pics up of my new buy. At some point I'd like to change the exhaust on my '85 2 door 320i. I'd like stainless steel twin tailpipes but too the untrained eye, I'd also like it to carry a factory look.

My reasoning? I want passers by to know why I'm always filling up and too get a raunchy tone out of the back. I'm only after the back box, got too many other projects on the go to splash out on manifolds etc...

Thanks

Blueflame will not give you what your looking for.

Infact, nothing will unless it's custom made.

Cut the tail pipes off an aftermarket system and then weld on some 2.5" (think that's the standard diameter although can't truely remember) slash cut tails.

That's what I did when I made mine (not using an aftermarket system though!) and it looks perfectly standard :)

2.25" for standard 325i Sport tailpipes.

2.5" would be the way to go or 3" pipes welded on a standard 325i backbox - makes enough noise, but not too much winkeye

Aah, must have 2.25" on mine then, recall that they just about slid over the standard tail pipes so I guess they're a couple of mm bigger. Not enough to notice anyhow :)

The BMW tailpipe trims fit over the tailpipes and on my 325i Sport are just under 2.5" including the outward rolled edges - if that makes sense

The actual tailpipes are 2.25".
