Anyone got the link to the really long thread about the supercharger build.
I've searched for it and there are so many possibles, I can't find it! and the UPDATE thread too, I've seen them mentioned but everyone seems to have UPDATE or M40 and supercharger in their bloody threads I must have read 20 of them now and no joy.
<rant>
And if I read another asking about the bleeding mini cooper s supercharger I'll sceam!!!!!!!!!!!!

My personal experience of Schmiedmann is they are a bunch of next to useless wankers.
There's a company called koed www.koed.dk ... much better.
Don't know if they do superchargers though.

lowen designs was selling this kit for like $3500 us dollars then they just dissappered there site doesn't work and every once in a while i will see some of there old inventory on ebay i had hear they were tring to sell the biz. That aside i would love to get one of those Rotrex chargers on my car they rock all the benifits of a turbo and supercharger and hardly none of the down sides of either.

i would be interested, but not at this point as I dont have the fund available! Would probably be into next year if not longer. Would also need to see if there is space and my engine bay is a completely different shape to the E30!

I've got lots of room around where the PAS pump was and there is some on the on the other side of the engine too, like you said the intercooler would be the biggest issue - no where to run the pipes! Will have to see, may once someones got this kit fitted to an E30 I could have bit of a look around at a meet!DaveD wrote:i will pass the message on to my supplier , jazzman the thing fits where the aircon unit would fit normaly so it should fit but i dont know about the intercooler which fit in front of the radiator.

If Koed's prices are right .. you can get the Rotrex kit for about Ԛ£1875.
Can't have aircon or power steering tho'.
G
If you want to see their stuff .. www.koed.dk
Choose E30 of course and then click on "downloads" .. e30 .. tuning

I downloaded the info in English from their site, there's a language toggle somewhere.
Instructions are the usual, unbolt this, fit that job jobbed affair, but better than most I've seen.
Retaining the AFM is so wrong though
looks like it comes supplied with a RRFPR too.

at the present I do some homework on supercharging and turbocharging (I have ordered books from amazon.com) the more I read ,more I have doupts whether you can build a really reliable and usable engine, factories loose hours and funds to do so a private can?

It's a common misconception that a tuned engine is less reliable, a badly built/setup engine in any state of tune will be unreliable.at the present I do some homework on supercharging and turbocharging (I have ordered books from amazon.com) the more I read ,more I have doupts whether you can build a really reliable and usable engine, factories loose hours and funds to do so a private can?
