will be heated seats, the buttons should be either on the centre console or next to the window switches somehwere and are rocker switches that have two settings, warm and hot (centre position is off obviously)

If there are no switches on the centre console, then it may be that the loom is fitted, and that's it. Check to see if there's wiring coming from the seats.

The settings for heated seats are inital heat up, and maintain heat, it is recomended to only use the heat up function to initally warm up the seats, and not to leave on this setting for too long.

Sounds more like the loom for the rear electric windows. Is the car an auto ?

have a look under your gearshift gaitor...the wires will be clearly visible heading towards the handbrake....they were on the car i stripped mine out of......unless im mistaken there is nothing else in that region other than the leccy windows.
