HOWTO FIX ELECTRIC WINDOWS

hi all,
myself and a friend fixed one of my electric windows today,
heres the howto:

1) remove door panel etc etc
2) remove electric window assembly (mines the cable type)
3) support the window so it doesnt crash down when removing
the elec window assembly..
4) remove the cover of the motor, pull the motor out of the assembly

it normally seizes at the shaft. very rare for the motor to burn out completely, the rear window motors often seize up purely because they hardly get used.

anyway,, clean the shaft of the motor, the shaft drives a plastic gear inside the rest of the assembly..

squite copious amounts of wd40 or equivalent into assembly, grease the shaft. put some grease into assembly, put shaft back in...

put the motor cover back on.

re-assemble into door, put door panel back. and presto.. working!
