Now summers coming and its time to go topless!.
Has anybody got a hoist or seen a BMW hoist ?.

The other photo is a DIY job, from E-bay.





If memory servers me right these things are very heavy!.

I wonder if our resident Product Designer has any designs lying around, for this problem?.

It could be a Mtec hoist.

going off the subject now but what i do like about the E30 saloon is how the sunroof, isnt glass its colour coded! i think id rather that than glass tbh!

Gazza thats a billiant idea......

I was gonna try and hang mine from the ceiling using seatbelt sash but couldnt get it up the stairs so that idea went out the window!! Mines currently in storage costing me an arm and a leg per month!!

So if anyone fancies donating a limb it'd be appreciated

The first picture is from the OEM site, BMW actually made these. I need to find out if they still sell them. The little hex bolts in the original BMW hardtops is where the hoist attach's. I wish I could take the credit but those clever German's actually made one for the E30 cab's.

Ahh still a bloody good idea lol

But alas not for me.....not sure if the weissmann's hex bolts line up anyway but I had mine smoothed over when I had it resprayed

you can get glass sunroofs too (search bimmerforums or something for moonroof - thats what the yanks call it)
