paulsimons has been sold . :nono: Why put a cosworth engine in an M3 espeacialy a cecotto (going by your name). It's a great conversion in a normal E30 but not M3 IMO

i agree , a cecotto deserves to stay the way it came out from the factory, and mine is still in its original form.

but ive decided to experiment and put a cosworth in a m3 chassis/shell.(not my cecotto)

i always wanted a 350bhp e30 m3 but havnt got 15 grand to spend so the cossie is the nxt best thing.

Why not turbo charge an S14 But you would have to lower compression a little. But the S14 would be much more realiable turbo charged than a cosworth lump ask fuzzy winkeye

love to turbo a s14, but again its down to budget. not sure how reliable s14 would be turbocharged, and how easy it is to do. love to know more about it if anybody knows. Whereas a cozzie goes in quite easily and mines always been reliable and parts are dirt cheap in comparison to bmw prices. and plus a cossie will handle 250 bhp without the constant need for rebuilds as a s14 would.

There was a guy in a recent issue of PPC magazine who'd done a home brew turbo conversion on an S14.

It was in a non M3 shell though.

Anyway, it was in the Walkers World section and he said it clocked his rollers and went on to make well over 400bhp :)

now that i seem to have overcome my reliability issues, which id say were more down to the muppet that did the conversion for me rather than the cossie bits themselves,im more than happy.even though i already owned all the bits engine, gearbox, ecu intercooler etc i reckon ive still spent between Ԛ£5000-Ԛ£6000 including suspension, brakes etc so its still not cheap unless your doing it yourself.the best part is the cheapness in upgrading power.Ԛ£200 takes you from standard 204bhp to 270bhp then another Ԛ£500 takes you up to 330bhp,you wont get that cheaply from a bmw engine winkeye

standard size EBC drilled/grooved discs with EBC redstuff ceramic pads and goodridge steel flexi hoses more than handle the power.the pads seem to wear out relatively quickly(6 months)but dont fade no matter how much i abuse them winkeye im aiming for around 370-380 bhp so i might need bigger brakes for that.whats your plans?

gona run mine with the m3 setup maybe with uprated pads. see how it goes . mine is running 330 to 350bp. the engine is in a 318lux shell at the mo with 325 brakes which aint up to the job.
