Hello guys and girls!

Im Stu from Odiham in Hampshire!
Newbie on what i have to say is a great forum dedicated to the E30

On the lookout for a new motor and ive Narrowed it down to either a MK2 Golf G60, or a 325i Sport Coupe or Cab.

Currently driving, dare i say, a 2001 DC5 Honda Integra Type R. Unfortunately, Pending Marriage/House purchase requires me to down scale so to speak! Although that sounds quite derogatory, i personally believe ill have more enjoyment from an older (Proper) car rather than plastic jap crap! (As fantastic as the Teg is!!)

Anyway, as above, Hello and heres to a possible future ownership!!

See you around peeps!

Stu

Hi Stu, go for the 325!! I had a HEAVILY modded G60 which I owned for almost 13 years, fantastic car, handled brilliantly, went like stink but incredibly thirsty when you drive it flat out, plus the superchargers can be a bit fragile too. Not many other cars make such a great sound though. I moved over to E30's a couple of years ago and haven't looked back. Lovely cars as standard, but also easily modded if that's what you're after.

Welcome mate :thumb:

Dont know much about the G60s, although I did look at buying one briefly. The only thing that really put me off was the cost of charger rebuilds. I also heard that they were quite hot on fuel if used hard (as most FI cars are) but then a 325i will also have a bit of drinking problem.

Ive got say I dont think I will be going back to FWD after owning the E30, I got fed up with FWD when I took the Sport off the road, so I went out and bought another E30.

You're just down the road from me too - live in Yateley, work in Farnham, so give me a shout if i can help in any way.

Welcome dude, used to work in Odiham (Justkampers), nice place, good pubs!

Id stick with the integra. Finest front drive chassis of all time, and one of the best drivers cars full stop. Cheaper to run than a 325 as well.
