I want to fit new bushes on the control arms and was thinking of powerflex eccentric ones. Can anyone answer the following questions:
How exactly do these change the suspension geometry, is it increased castor?
How easy are they to fit, I have heard mixed reports! I assume I would fit the bush to the housing, then push the arm through the hole?
Where does the off centre hole go?! (I'm guessing hole goes towards outside of car?) Do they come with instructions?
Any help gratefully received
Cheers,
Doug

They push the wheel further forward in the arch, not easy to fit into the bracket, normally need a few tonnes to push in, much easier to fit bush to arm, use some tyre stuff, or fairy liquid.
And yes, the hole goes to the outside of the car, not sure if instructions are included.

I fitted these today, M3 eccentric bushes, cost about Ԛ£45 from the dealers.
Ive only done a couple of miles with them as im waiting to get the wheel alignment setup properly again but I can tell the steering is much more responsive and 'tight' allready

These have arrows but im not sure about non genuine ones

Just fitted the Powerflex eccentric ones to my M3...
Actually was a lot easier than expected...
Tips:
Clean the end of the control arm with emery paper prior to attempting to remove the old bush..Then just hammer or use a puller...
To remove the bush from the holder arm, place it in a vice and hacksaw through the outside metal ring of the bushe...It will then fall out (try notto damage or cut the holder surface...
We used a vice and some defunct bearing races to press in the outer segment of the polybush kit...make sure you get it the correct way around (has a recess lip on the front edge into which the inner segment locates and the hole should be nearest the bolt-holes...as in the pic in the post above).
All feels good and tight with them in place with better turn-in response...
