my cab recently started to make an annoying rattle from the front LH wheel, which i reckon is the brake caliper, i have checked all nuts etc under there and all tight, and pads only 4000km old. it brakes fine and straight but when goin over bumps it rattles (which stops if i ride the brakes slightly) it apperars that the caliper floats is that correct and what the hell is causing this rattle!!!! AAAAARRRGGHHH!!!!

One of the anti-rattle springs on the pad (that push the pad out of the caliper and in toward the hub) is probably poking through the groove in the caliper and not sitting properly.

Had this myself last time I changed the pads and didn't notice it for about a month. The copper grease on the backing must have been doing a good job!
