The links above show UK registered E30 cabs for sale in Dublin at the moment. Some seem like good value. Have a look at the reg plates and see if you know any of them.......... 8O 8O

Don't recognise any of those cars myself, but we do have a very large scrap yard local to me, one of the biggest around, and the number of Irish registered lorries I see coming from there every day loaded with smashed up cars is shocking! Always nice cars too, BMW's Merc's and Audi's.

hey lads

Very popular over here at the moment, mine came in from the UK in June. The prices are higher here due to the VRT we have to pay on im[ported vehicles, VRT = Vehicle Registration Tax, which is declared illegal by the EU but hey lets just ignore that. What happens is that you present the car at the revenue office, who take teh details check what tehy call teh OMSP, Open Market Selling Price (ya see tehy are in bed with the delears) and then make you pay 30% tax of teh OMSP, which they make up all by themselves.

My 86 325 sport cost me 2K sterling to buy and 1650 euro in tax to register..... sickening.

A couple of those have been for sale for a while.
Its also illegal to sell a UK registered vehicle in Ireland unless you are an approved dealer.

Might seem like good value now but as green-blood said, wait till you have to fork out a shed load of cash just to get Irish plates on them.

I did point out to the "gentleman" in Kilgarve cars (bottom link above) that he had not pointed out the vrt amount in his add. He was not a happy camper.

Bayliss recovery in Ogmore Vale, have you ever been there? Huge yard, with racking, and all sorts of cars.

The VRT could be the least of your worries. The car will need to go through the NCT and may cost you alot of money to pass. If he's serious on selling these cars, he needs to register them and get a 2 year NCT on them. Then there should be no unexpected extra charges!
