I have been given a obc but require the loom and relay module (if anyone has these bits for sale?). My car already has the 6 button computer thing installed as standard. Can I use the relay module and temp sensor from the 6 button computer?

thats not what he asked.

yes you can use the temp sensor....its exactly the same.

dunno about the module.

you will probably have trouble getting the loom on its own though

You don't need the control module unless you're going to use the code function on the obc. If you still want one I've got one here you can have for the price of  plus postage.

Cheers for the offer. So what does the control module actually do then? On the article on 'retro fitting an on board computer' essential item list it says you need the relay control module. It'll be handy if I didn't need it as as nickso pointed out, its a nightmare trying to find the bits.

The control module is only there for the immobiliser function. Everything else will work fine without it.

not second guessing you mate but i thought the module was required and it was the horn that was only needed if you were to use the code function?

you could just try it without i suppose but you will need to source a loom first....put an ad in the wanted section....you never know what some zoners have lying around their garages :D
