Right, im looking at getting a set of wheels, the ones I want are 9J and have an et of 38.
Will I be able to get these to fit? If so, what size spacers will I need?
I know alot of people advise against spacers, but for the mileage I cover (about 3000 a year) it really doesnt bother me.
Any help would be much appreciated.

The rim diametre and the tyre width will also form part of the equation.

make sure you get spacers with a hubcentric measurement of 57.1mm there are lots of universal spacers etc that dont have any ring this means your wheels wont sit dead center and are likely to vibrate at speed. i got my 20mm from omp and they cost Ԛ£70 for 4 but when you see the quality and the fact they are for the E30 you understand why

im so sexy justin brought me back 5 times

205s are small for a 9" rim. You still may well need arch rolling though... Try finding what offset some other people with 9" rims are running, then you'll see what spacers you need to get yours to the same position.

Looks like im going to have to just guess the wheels and do abit of guess work. Ill prob get the arches rolled anyway, just to give it that bit of extra space.

Sorry was going to work it out for you. Use this guide and work out the correct offset needed for the wheels. Then subtract out the difference to find the mm spacer required.

Thanks for that, looks like I might get away with 10mm but im not too sure how to work it out as it doesnt show 9x16's.
The tyres dont look too stretched, I can email you a pic if you like.

Yeah i know it doesnt show that size. You need to establish how the ET changes with wheel width from the sizes they give you....then do the same for the tyres. (i.e the ET change from 7J to 8J and 195 to 205)Steviec wrote:Thanks for that, looks like I might get away with 10mm but im not too sure how to work it out as it doesnt show 9x16's.

If I get time I'll have a look and post up - easier and cheaper than trial and error

205 is way over stretched!!!! you got a pics of it? offset u got of 35mm, can go for a 10-15mm hubcentric one with the longer bolts, to get it back on track again.
