Hey all, just a simple question - on the wiring running from the ignition, what colour wires go to the starter? have replaced the b*gger, now won't start at all, have worked back and can't figure which ones are which - are they the thickest ones one the loom from the barrel? have both the Bentley and the Haynes out and cant see the ones they refer to. Grrrrrrrrrrr!

any help as always greatly appreciated!

Black / yellow from the switch to the starter motor solenoid, thick black one carries the power from the battery to the motor

And the smallest one, black/green is for the unloader relays. Black/yellow wire also has a branch to pin 11 of the diagnostic socket. Pin 14 is battery +, so shorting 11 and 14 together should operate the starter motor, independantly of the car body wiring.
