I'm gonna be doing my engine oil this weekend, and am also thinking about changing my diff oil at the same time.
What oil would you advise I put in?
Its a small case open diff on a 320i touring 1988

Good quality 90w hypoid gear oil for the diff, and if you want to do the gearbox oil (I would while your under there) it's 80w gear oil.
Approx 0.9 litres for the diff and about 1.5 for the 'box
