We drove to the beach for our holiday this year. The kids managed to get suntan cream hand prints on the car and I must admit that I've been slow in cleaning it. It's probably been a month or so but this morning I decided to give the car a good wash. The hand prints just won't budge. I've tried:
Meguiars NXT car wash
Meguiars Quick Detailer
Windowlene
Washing up liquid
Isoprpanol

But no joy. Pictures below. Any advice (apart from wash the car more frequently!) gratefully received.

Thanks John. I've already tried the clay - no joy. I'm trying to avoid T-cut type products if possible, but there may be no choice.

id say the oil is soaked into dead/oxidised layer of paint/laquer

tcut is violent stuff

go with a meguiars paint cleanser that should move it

I agree with jon, use Meguiars Body cleanser, its a mild form of T-cut!
try that should work, gets most stains off mine.
And loads of elbow grease!

Got off a few oily prints!

Cheers

Sorry to change the subject here from the title of the thread but may I ask what's so bad about t-cut ? It's worked a treat for me in the past and my paintwork is smooth and swirl free, not shabby or anything. Thanks in advance

I'd have to agree. T-Cut has saved the day for me on many occasions. Ok It may have a bad reputation, but the results have been impressive and I have no future plans to change.
