Speedo fault

Hi, my speedo is waving around like nobodies buisness, sometimes it works/sometimes it doesn't.

Any help on fixing this,

probably the wires over the rear axle where the sensor comes out of the diff;

take the electric plug out of the diff, and replace as long a section of the 2 wires in that area as you can

If you go to a scrappy, one of the connectors used for the front lights is the same as the connector you have just taken off the diff, so you can use that and the wires there are likely to be in better condition than the wires that have been banging around under the car for 15 years

if its not that try replacing the rechargable batterys on the si board in the clocks.
