I have some queries and need some help....
I did a bit off research into exhausts about a month ago for my 325 cab and I plummed for a QuickSilver system but to some unknown reasons and not really wanting to get at anyone the systen is shockingly bad it went back to them 3 times and is still wrong I have asked for my money back to which they have agreed..
So now I need a good system QUICK as I'm off to Italy two weeks tonight in the car....
Anyone know much about the Fritzs Bits system or any others
Ideally no angled pipes and no DTM...
Please help your my only help...

yeah sorry i meant a custom setup, either by Powerflow or longlife.
I too have heard bad things about powerflow, but having said that i now have one and have had no problems!
Its more down to the franchise than the company in general from what i can see!

I have a POWERFLOW BackBox exhaust for sale, if you interested its like new, had it on the car for a day or so until I upgraded to a full systemâ┚¬Ã‚¦
Itâ┚¬Ã¢”ž¢s made from full stainless steel, so will never rust and will make your bemmer sound sporty and very powerful and increase bhp!!!â┚¬Ã‚¦
However you need tailpipes as I decided to use the existing ones, You can have whatever you want, Single, Twin, DTM, Boxer etc (Can get them from exhaust places even halfrauds, but I suggest good quality ones as is the backbox.)
Here a pic...

The fritz's bits exhaust is a good one but beware the manifold only fits pre facelift cars although it can be sleeved to fit the later ones. They won't tell you this but how can one downpipe fit both systems? not a problem if you buy both manifold and exhaust though but for that money the BTB manifold is better. If your going to spend the best part of a grand I'd buy the BTB manifold and mate it to a cheaper exhaust. This is from someone who is currently running a fritz's bits manifold, go figure.
Well it's good to hear from somebody with an exhaust I'd like
I spoke to Richard at FritzsBits and he did seem helpful as you would I'm going to go for the complete setup as this will make more sense in the long run.. I have a 1990 Cab so I really hope there are no fitting issues..
I would love to go for the BTB manifold but I just can't wait that long off on holiday in 2 weeks.. so needs must, but I do hope that the FB setup is good enough.. what made you buy it ?

Do a search on here about the Fritz manifold.
Aparently it only made a very small BHP increase over the standard cast log manifold - and by small increase, I seem to remember 1bhp being quoted
For the cost of it, Id want more, much more. And then theres the fitting issues people have talked about.
I have heard their full system on a 635i and it did sound nice though.
I realise you need it soon, but If youre going to spend out on a 6 branch, the BTB is the only way to go. It costs, but delivers the power increase to justify it.

I really appricate the help a great deal I would go for the BTB if only I had the time to wait. Maybe I could go for a system only and then get a BTB Manifold in the next batch.. How would they match upto each other ?
I'm sure that it would be all good but I was quoted 20bhp increase in manifold alone and I just know that it is Bo@%cks but I'm really not overly fussed about the extra power I just want a good solid setup that will last and sound nice...
Thanks

If it was my money, thats what Id do - the BTB really does give the power gain worth the cost.Foomanchu wrote:Maybe I could go for a system only and then get a BTB Manifold in the next batch.. How would they match upto each other ?
Get yourself a standard 3 piece system, I think that should match up to the BTB manifold, but have a check in the group buy section/Zone shop to confirm.
